Following are some Popular Search Engines and you can register your website with them. They provide easy ways to register your websites with them. 

• Google Webmaster Tools accepts website sitemaps. Login and submit your sitemap. You will need to authenticate your website with Google. You can also track the status whenever you want.
• Yahoo Site Explorer accepts sites, feeds and sitemaps. It is also important to authenticate the website ownership. Once you login, two options are presented under the authentication section. Choose the one you like - 
  1. Upload a verification file to your site.
  2. Add a META tag to your home page.
• Bing Webmaster Center accepts sitemaps for the websites. Submitting the sitemap on this link generates an authentication file by the name LiveSearchSiteAuth.xml that needs to be saved in the root directory of the website.

Search engines can be manually updated using below links. Ping service allows you to notify the search engine of your site changes. In this case you do not need to register yourself. Change the following paths to your actual sitemap.
