Web Development Tools and Websites

Researching for right tools for web development often takes alot of time. Here is a list of some tools and sites that I have found useful.
Websites:
- Favicon.cc provides you online facility to create 16 x 16 pixel icon to show up along with the URL in the browser. You also get to see the live preview how it will look when placed the address bar of the browser.
- Google Analytics is a free service that allows you to keep a close watch of the traffic to your website. It provides you a dashboard where you get the details of the visitors, traffic sources, goals etc. You can get reports in many formats. New features continuously get added so check it out yourself.
- net tuts+ is a good resource for web development tools and techniques. One that every web developer should bookmark to refer over and over again.
- Typetester.org provides you online tools to style your text with any font, font size, color, background, alignment, leading, decoration, etc. You get a live preview of the styles you choose. In addition, it generates the necessary CSS for that you can use in your website. The site, I am sure, will definitely save your valuable time.
Web Development Tools:
- Mysql Query Browser is a very useful tool to export and import MySQL database. If you face any issues in backing up a MySQL database using PHPMyAdmin I suggest use the MySQL Query Browser tool. Here is a nice document on the MySQL Support Tools.
- WAMP Server
- XAMPP - Apache web server, MySQL, PHP and Perl and more
